well barry hope you have better luck than me with talktalk i can only connect for a few minutes at a time since being unbundled on march the 26th its been horrendous ive spent pounds and pounds on phonecalls and just cant see it getting any better

I had BT Total Broad band Aug 06 Fantastic 5.5 to 6 MB download on * MB service then Feb 07 I got 1 - 2MB. Every test concevible and no improvement some time sub 500k for days at a time. Openreach Engineer proved my local loop could support 5.5MB and remote tests showed 5.1MB but I only got 2.6MB so bottle neck in BT backbone network! Have terminated contract early (no charge) and gone to TalkTalk for half the cost!

well bt engineers came on behalf of talktalk said they found a fault at exchange and ive now got to wait another 10 days so they say for my connection to settle down yeah yeah we will see

I have had NTL for four years and since Virgin Media have taken over the service is decreasing quickly.
I will be moving away as soon as I find a service that is as good as the old NTL

well im with talktalk and the bad press is all true in my case ever since talktalk upgraded my local exchange phone forever disconnecting broadband disconnecting every 5-10 minsbut never had any complaints before the upgrade but guess im stuck with it for another 6 months of my 18 month contract

Amidst all the bad press Virgin media is attracting, can I just say that I have had my 2mbit broadband for 2 weeks now and am well suited with it.
Downloads and upload rates are spot on.
A very stable connection. TV package good as well. Dont be put off by all the bad press.
